One of my favorite sweets at Christmas is the nooks. They are crunchy cookies that contain uncrushed nuts. In this case they are almonds, and they combine perfectly with a simple chocolate coating.

At video you have all the steps to follow to make them. It is not complicated but you should see it to get an idea of ​​the whole process: we have to integrate the almonds well, divide the dough into portions, form curlers with those portions, bake them, cut the cookies and bake them again. I said, it seems a lot, but in the video you will see that it is not so much.

Put them next to the cordial or easter cakes. You will have an irresistible plate of Christmas sweets.

Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour and a little more to form the cookies
  • 150 g de azúcar blanquilla
  • A pinch of salt
  • 5 g Royal type baking yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g of almonds with skin
  • About 200 g of chocolate fondant

Preparation

  1. We put the flour, sugar, salt, yeast and eggs in the glass. We program 2 minutes, spike speed.

  2. We put the dough on the counter and add the almonds to our dough. We can help ourselves with a little more flour.

  3. We divide the dough into 5 portions and form a roll with each portion. We put those 5 rollers on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

  4. Bake at 180º for 25 minutes.

  5. We take them out of the oven and, with a knife, we cut them into slices of about 1 centimeter thick, with diagonal cuts.

  6. We put the cantucci on one or two baking trays and bake at 150º for approximately 5 minutes.

  7. We turn off the oven and keep them inside for another 5 minutes.

  8. We put the chocolate in pieces in a bowl. We melt the chocolate in the microwave. We have it for about 1 minute and then mix well with a spoon.

  9. We bathe one of the ends of each cantucci and let them cool on a rack.

  10. When the chocolate has become hard we can store our cookies in an airtight jar.
