Carrot and lentil cream

cream-carrots-lentils

I made it up last weekend. I wanted to make a creampie from vegetables for the kids, but my fridge was very peeled. So I turned to what little I had. And at the end of the experiment ... it was delicious, but very, very rich. The children they ate it delighted. And so do we. And here it is: my new carrot and lentil cream, vegetables and vegetables on a single plate Quick, easy y Low in calories. It also serves you if you are diet.

And if as a second course, you put some hake burgersdo you have a meal or children's dinner perfectly solved.

Hello, I do not understand the purpose of condensed milk ... if I do not put it on, what? Thank you

    1.    Ana Valdes said

Hello Blanca. The condensed milk was the result of a shortage in my fridge. I wanted to add milk to the cream because it softens the flavors and textures and my kids eat it better. Since I didn't have it either, I put the condensed milk which, with the water, turns into milk. But the truth is that it gave it a very peculiar, different flavor, which we loved, so now it is part of this recipe. If you don't put it on? Well nothing, right? It will not be the same recipe, but it will not be bad either. A hug!

I just made it for tomorrow. There is no way for my little one to eat the lentils, let's see how it's like this ... Congratulations on the web, I love it!

And if you put milk, how much do you put in? I'm lost

    1.    Ana Valdes said

Hello Eva. As I explain in the recipe, this dish came out almost by chance, so I have not tried it with milk. I suggest you put 250 ml of milk and 250 ml of water. I think it will look good on you. Tell us about it and so, between all of us, we create new variants. A hug!

One question, do you only heat the carrots? Someone made it with half milk and half water ?? Greetings

    1.    Ana Valdes said

Hello Sea! Yes, just temperature to the carrots. the lentils are already cooked. Condensed milk doesn't convince you, eh? It really is very good. A hug!

    Hello Ana!
It is the first time I write to you and the first recipe I make for your blog.
It happens to me similar to Mar, I don't want to open the bottle of condensed milk that I have only for a tablespoon, because if not the rest of the bottle I eat it by myself…. I have no control over condensed milk since I was a child !!! Hahaha
The fact is that I just finished it and it has been a little runny and the only thing different I have done is add one more cheese instead of the condensed milk…. Is the texture that liquid? I thought it would be more creamy.
Greetings and thanks for your recipes.

Hi! hahahaha .. it's true, the condensed milk thing is addictive ... It looked like a cream for me, could it be that you have also added the liquid from the lentils ?. Did you put milk or just water? If you want to substitute condensed milk, you have to put 250 ml of milk and 250 ml of water. Or, 500 ml of milk. And the lentils, drained. For the cheese, no problem. A hug!

  7.   Aurora said

Ohhhh well I put the 500ml of water…. And the drained lentils. Still, the flavor is rich, but very liquid…. Next time I'll do it like you just explained to me
I have the hake defrosting to make the hamburgers tomorrow…. I'll tell you 😉
    Thanks! Kisses.

P.S. Tell you that despite being liquid, my children have loved it?

    1.    Ana Valdes said

I'm so glad, Aurora. The truth is that it is the most important thing, that the result pleases, and if it is the little ones, who are so demanding, even more so, right? Thanks for telling us. A kiss!
