Cheeks with tomato sauce

I'm still experimenting with cheeks. They come out delicious and the whole family loves them. This time I have made them with natural tomato, which is cooked next to the meat in the glass and at the end there is a juicy and honeyed set that can be accompanied with a White rice or with mashed potatoes. Delicious.

If I had to choose, I'd stick with the cheeks in old-fashioned sauce that I presented to you a few weeks ago, but these with tomato are the favorites of my children, that leave the plate scraped and take advantage of every last crumb of bread.

Juicy, honeyed and tender. The cheeks with tomato appeal to the whole family.

Ingredients

• 500 g of pork cheeks
• 600 g of tomatoes (it can be canned crushed tomato, but if you use that, read the final notes beforehand)
• 150 g of onions
• 70 g of red pepper
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1 teaspoon of sugar
• 50 ml of aceite oliva

Preparation

1. We put in the glass, the oil, the onion, the garlic and the pepper. We chop during 5 seconds at speed 5.

2. Then we sauté for 8 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

3. While we split the cheeks into 2 halves and salt them.

4. We add the tomatoes to the glass. We crush during 5 seconds at speed 5.

5. Add the sugar, salt and cheeks. We program 45 minutes, varoma temperature, spoon speed, left turn,. With beaker.

6. We remove the beaker and program 15 minutes, varoma temperature, spoon speed, left turn ,.

Notes

If we use canned crushed tomato, we will program, in step 5, 55 minutes, we will skip step 6 and we will not remove the beaker throughout the cooking.
