Cake with walnuts and chia

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! A big kiss to all the moms for their wonderful tireless work with the little ones. And we want to dedicate today's recipe to all of them. ?

Doing homemade cakes we love it, it's a very nice little time because in 5 minutes or less you have the dough ready and you just have to bake it. In addition, we usually take advantage of the fact that we turn on the oven for something else and then we put a cake or some muffins. It is a great way to take advantage of the energy we spend with the oven (which, it must be said, is a household appliance that consumes a lot of electricity). And, of course, home baking is the best option because we control 100% the ingredients we use and we flee from industrial pastries, so harmful to health and, above all, for the little ones. It's a shame, but today the index of Childhood obesity in our country it is already alarming, so we must fight it from NOW.

So we get down to business and we're going to prepare a cake basic to which we will add our personal touch of nuts y chia seeds. The walnuts will give grace to the dough because we will find crunchy pieces as we eat it. And the chia ... is simply wonderful! Is a source of calcium Very good because its contribution per 100 g is actually higher than that of milk (100 g of chia provides 300 mg, while milk provides 119 mg), as well as its fixing and absorption capacity.

Today we can find chia in any herbalist or even a large supermarket and it is not expensive. A small bag costs about € 5 and spreads a lot. We can also use it in other great recipes such as salads, yogurts, smoothies ... Here is an example: banana and chia smoothie with ginger.

I need you to give me a hand with the oven. I have it on gas and I imagine that you use it electric. Whenever I make cupcakes, they never come out right. Any advice on how I should use my oven. I know it's a bit strange question, but I would like to be able to enjoy the cakes that you are raising without having to change the oven, the economy is very bad, hehehe.

Thank you very much. A greeting.
