In the video you can see how easy it is to prepare this recipe for chicken with mustard sauce in Thermomix. Like traditional stews, it also includes potatoes and carrots.

With the carrot we have two options. If we want it to go unnoticed we can crush it in one of the steps. If we prefer to find the carrot in the stew, we will have to incorporate it later, along with the potatoes. Everything is specified in the video.

You can also serve it with cooked rice. The mustard sauce will fill the traditional flavor with flavor White rice.

A simple chicken stew with potatoes, carrots and a delicious mustard sauce

Ingredients

  • 30 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 15 g flour
  • 100 g of onion in pieces
  • 200 g carrot sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Aromatic herbs
  • 500 g of potato (weight once peeled)
  • 150 g of meat broth and maybe 60 g more
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • 800 g of chicken breast
  • 100 g of cream

Preparation

  1. We put the oil, flour, garlic, onion and mustard in the glass. We program 5 seconds, speed 5.

  2. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass. We program 5 minutes, 120º, speed 1.

  3. Add the potatoes, the broth, the salt, the pepper and the carrot. We program 12 minutes, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

  4. We incorporate the chicken and program 10 minutes, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

  5. If we see that the potato and carrot are hard we can add about 60 g of broth and program 5 minutes, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

  6. Now add the cream and program 2 minutes, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

  7. We serve hot, if we like, with cooked rice.

Notes

The carrot can be crushed at the beginning or put later next to the potato. If we put it at the beginning it will not be seen and if we choose to put it next to the potato we will find pieces of carrot on our plate.
