Yolanda, a friend on Facebook, asked us a few weeks ago to adapt this to Thermomix chocolate cake and Coca-cola. And ecola qua. Thanks Yolanda, it's great.

It is a cake with a compact but soft texture (look at the photo that I put below). It has a delicious and intense flavor and is perfect for a or for any other celebration. Although we, with the excuse of adapting it, we have eaten it without birthdays or anything ... well, just because.

Spectacular chocolate and Coca-cola cake, with a characteristic texture and flavor. Perfect for chocolate lovers' birthdays.

Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 300 g icing sugar
  • 40 g of bitter cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 250 butter g
  • 200 g of Coca-cola
  • 225 g whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Vanilla or vanilla aroma

For coverage:

  • 200 g of chocolate fondant in small pieces
  • 200 g of liquid cream
  • 65 butter g
  • 1 tablespoon of Coca-cola

Plus:

  • A removable mold of about 23 cm in diameter

Preparation

  1. We put the sugar in the glass and program 30 seconds, program speed 7-10.

  2. We put the butterfly on the blades. Add the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate and yeast. We program 20 seconds, speed 3. We take out the mixture and reserve it in a bowl.

  3. Without having to wash the glass, we put the butterfly back on the blades. We cast the whites and program 1 minute, speed 3 1/2. We add the yolks and leave it at that speed for a few seconds. We take out and reserve.

  4. We wash the glass. We put the butter and program 7 minutes, 37º, spoon speed. We add the Coca-cola and program 1 minute, 37º, speed 1. Then add the milk and program 1 minute, 37º, speed 1. We reserve this mixture in a jug.

  5. We put in the glass the mixture of powders that we had made at the beginning. We put the machine in speed 2 and we are adding the liquid mixture (melted butter, Coca-cola and milk), stopping the machine from time to time to check that everything is being well integrated. We help each other with the spatula if necessary. Finally we add the eggs that we have beaten before and mix a few seconds still in speed 2.

  6. We put the mixture in the mold release mold, previously greased and floured. We bake 170º for approximately 1 hour. We'll know it's ready when we stick a skewer stick in and it comes out clean. We take the cake out of the oven and let it rest.

  7. When we have taken it out of the oven, while it is tempering, we prepare the topping.

  8. We put the cream in the glass and program 5 minutes, 100º, speed 1. We follow in speed 1, no temperature, and we are adding the chocolate in pieces little by little by the mouth. When it is melted add the butter and Coca-cola. We mix now for a few seconds in speed 2 1/2.

  9. We add the topping to the cake (still hot) and put it in the refrigerator.

  10. After a few hours, or the next day, we unmold it and serve.

  11. Try it because it is really good.

Notes

If the vanilla is powdered (the kind they sell in sachets, like yeast) it is incorporated along with the flour and sugar. If it is liquid, add it along with the milk. If it is the scraping of a pod, a small infusion is made with the milk, before starting the recipe.
