Cinnamon mantecados

cinnamon shortbreads

Nears Christmas and the pantries are already filling up Typical products of these dates. The majority confectionery. How about if instead of buying them we make them at home? Here I propose a typical sweet that will not take us long: Cinnamon mantecados.

Let's not fool ourselves. At this time of year it is practically impossible to take care of yourself so better enjoy yourself and we will have a good New Year's resolution. However, we can choose to make many of these caloric preparations in our home in a more natural controlling the use of ingredients. Advantage provided by having Thermomix. It allows us to do many things that we can find in supermarkets but in a homemade way and, therefore, much healthier.

This time I present one of the sweet stars of Christmas. The cinnamon shortbreads of a lifetime. I have to say that it is the second time that I do them and each time I surprising more of the result. It has nothing to envy to the cinnamon ice creams of industrial origin. Some bites that melt in your mouth and leave a taste of wheat flour and toasted almonds. Is my christmas candy favorite!

As we leave them more or less time in the oven, they will stay longer. tender or more toasted. That will taste like always. In the description of the recipe I will leave you the intervals. One way or another you will love them.

Regarding the presentation suggestion, you can see in the photograph that I have only decorated using Sesame seeds. We can also use melted chocolate, sugar glass or even glazed mixing the icing sugar with very little water so that we have a dense mixture. Although I'll tell you the truth: you don't need to put anything on it. As long as they come out of the oven, they are already irresistible.

Happy cinnamon shortbreads everyone! Y Happy Holidaysof course!

Hi, I made them once, but I kept the crushed dough in the whole oven, it was a disaster, I don't know why that happened, can you guide me?
    thank you

Hello Maria! What you are telling me could possibly be due to an excess of butter in the mixture. It may also be that you did not leave the dough in the fridge long enough, the dough must be quite compact before putting them in the oven. Anyway I encourage you to try again. Surely this time they will come out. You will see! I wait for news
