Coffee nougat

The most coffee growers are going to hallucinate with this homemade nougat. The nuances of coffee blend perfectly with those of chocolate and almond, forming a very original combination.

It is clear that this chocolate is not suitable for children although I am sure that you will succeed with your guests more gourmet and gourmets who are able to enjoy the flavors more adult and delicate.

This nougat has many good things: it is original, it is made with ingredients that are easy to find and, above all, it is quick and super easy to do.

Another of its characteristics is that it can do in advance. This will give you enough time to organize the entire Christmas menu.

I usually make the nougat the weeks before the parties. The vacuum pack and I keep them in the fridge until serving time.

It is a system very practical and comfortable but you also have to pay attention to it. Make sure that the surfaces where you are going to do the packaging are completely clean and that the bags are new.

The tablets must be completely sealed. If you see that the container does not stick to the tablet, there may be a small hole or open pore. I recommend that you change the container to ensure the maximum quality.

Real coffee is used in this recipe. What is known as a black coffee or espresso which is the best way to enjoy all its flavor.

To make this recipe you can use the nougat tablet mold either made of wood or silicone.

You can also use an open, clean and dry milk carton. Although my favorite option is the rectangular cake mold. Yes, I know that it is not glamorous but the nougat tablets are flawless. You just have to line it with kitchen paper and that's it.

Depending on the mold, the tablet may be higher or lower. If it serves as a reference, the nougat in the photo is made in a mold with a base of 18 cm x 8 cm.

When decorating this nougat, the ideal is to use coffee beans. They may be natural coffee beans or there are even some grain-shaped chocolates that are divine.

      You can try with the same amount of hazelnuts or cashews. I have never tried it but I think it will be just as good.
