They carry orange blossom water and it shows in the smell that remains in the kitchen when preparing them and also in their flavor. At home, before seeing them, they told me it smelled like roscón ...

Ingredients

  • 300 g of flour and a little more for the hob
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, Royal type
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg and 1 yolk
  • 2 tablespoons orange blossom water
  • 40 g butter in pieces at room temperature
  • 25 g of water
  • 10 g of milk to paint the surface

Preparation

  1. We put 300 g of flour, sugar, yeast and salt in the glass. We program 10 seconds, speed 4.

  2. Add the eggs, the orange blossom water, the butter and the water. We program 1 minute and 30 seconds, speed 5.

  3. We put the dough in a bowl and compact it with our hands.

  4. Cover with film and reserve in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

  5. After that time we put the dough on the counter and divide it into two portions.

  6. With each portion we form a cylinder about 30 centimeters long.

  7. We divide each cylinder into 8 portions.

  8. We shape our cookies, as you see in the video.

  9. We paint the surface of the cookies with a little milk.

  10. We put them on a baking tray, on baking paper.

  11. We preheat the oven to 180º and bake them at that temperature for approximately 20 minutes.
