Croissant omelette stuffed with Iberian ham and camembert

Croissant omelette

Did you read the title correctly? What do you think? Well yes, surprising right? Croissant omelette stuffed with Serrano ham and Camembert cheese. It is a very curious recipe because it does not really taste like croissants, nor is it sweet. We could say that it would simulate a bit of a potato omelette ... although with a very soft and delicate flavor.

And the best? What to do in 5 minutes. As easy as slicing the croissants in the thermomix, mixing them with egg, and curdling our omelette in a pan with some slices of ham and camembert.

For this recipe to be perfect we need to use some pastry butter croissants, to be able to be that they do not have syrup or much sugar on top. I recommend that you use this type of croissants because those made from industrial pastries (in addition to being of poorer quality) are not so flaky and their flavor is not that rich.

So that there is a contrast of flavors, it is interesting to use Serrano / Iberian ham of medium-high quality in thin slices or with a flavored cheese that melts well (for example camembert, denim, wedding cake ...). So the bite will be really exquisite.
