Crystal breadsticks with olive oil

Crystal breadsticks with olive oil

Today we bring you an absolutely spectacular recipe: delicious glass breadsticks with olive oil. They will be the perfect accompaniment to your cheese and sausage boards... but they are so delicious that you will take them at any time of the day!

They are very crunchy, airy on the inside and have a delicious flavor. We warn you that they are addictive! It is a slightly elaborate recipe, especially since you have to let the dough rest for a while and make the typical kneading folds, but it is worth it because the result is spectacular.

What ingredients do I need?

The ingredients They couldn't be simpler: flour, water and... the great protagonist of this story... a good extra virgin olive oil. This will give our breadsticks an unmistakable flavor. For this recipe we have used an oil with body and flavor that we love: the Picual variety from Coto Bajo We leave you the link to their website so that you have the opportunity to try it. It is a great oil!

You can also add any other element that you want, we have used a little sesame, delicious!! You can also add chips of salt, rosemary, pepper, oregano... whatever you like!

Any trick?

The only aspect that you have to take into account for this recipe is the delicacy of the breadsticks once you have baked them because they split immediately. We recommend placing them upright in a glass jar with a lid to keep them and, to serve them, also upright and in a narrow and tall glass so that they can be easily picked up and do not break.

In addition, you have to pay close attention to the ingredients because we are going to use very very cold water. And this is important, we are not worth the water of time. What we do is that we use that amount of water from the fridge and also, 30 minutes before preparing the recipe, we put it in the freezer.

It is important that you do in step 9 the folding of the doughThis will leave us with a dough with a good gluten net so that our breadsticks have a spectacular airy crumb.

How many hills will come out?

For this reason, I recommend that you take into account the boat in which you are going to keep them to give them that length when you are going to form them. With these quantities that we leave you here, approximately 20-25 units will come out. You will see what a delicious recipe!
