Gazpacho for children

Gazpacho for children

At home we love the gazpacho, especially in summer, it is a very tasty, rich and refreshing starter. So we have thought of cooking a version for the little ones, children between 1 and 3 years, so that they can also enjoy this drink so healthy but without being heavy on their stomachs and without having excessively strong flavors.

You can give it to them as a first course and complete it, for example, with a tuna omelette or with a ham and cheese sandwich.

They change garlic for sugar? ?

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

It is not actually changed. To adapt it to the children's palate, the garlic is eliminated. On the other hand, add sugar to soften the acidity of the tomato, I also do it for adults.

Thank you very much Irene, Marcos is going to love it ...
You like gazpacho a lot and it is sure that it is more, being softer?
(Good idea about the sweet onion, I always use it as a substitute for leek and normal onion)

Thank you Estela !! I'm glad you like it, you'll tell me what Marcos says ... in the end they are the biggest gastronomic critics 😛

2 teaspoons of sugar? for a child from 1 to 3 years old? soon he begins to give him something that is quite harmful to his health and quite addictive: sugar.
And why not let them enjoy and get used to the sour taste? Surely the mother is more bothered by that taste than the child.
Let's educate the palate for health.
