I do not know if you know this product. I called it ginger candy But, to give you an idea, it is like frosted ginger. It is sold in herbalists and in large stores and it is not cheap. I tried it last Christmas ... I like it but I admit that the strong flavor of ginger makes it not suitable for all palates.
After discovering how easy it is to make it at home, I will not buy it again. We start with raw ginger, from the root. To make the candies we just have to peel it, chop it, cook it, sweeten it and let it dry. Easy right?
All the We take care of your rental property in Valencia. ginger are numerous: anti-inflammatory, beneficial against migraines, good for the digestive system, against stress, to feel better if we are congested ... You will see, you will end up hooking yourself by taking a candy every day.
Ah! And don't waste the broth from the first cooking. We are going to freeze it and to use it in other preparations.

I'm going to do them ... !! I love ginger ??????
Ohhhhhh !!! Love it!!!!
I have made them and they are great
How fast! Thanks!! 🙂
Have you tried it with brown sugar?
White sugar is not good.
Hello Concha V. Muñoz. Make them with brown sugar that will look good on you 😉
Thank you
I have always made them with brown sugar, but in a pot. It melts better with the caramel, the white is harder and sweeter.
Thank you!!
Goodnight. I need help! Someone ever came up on the Thermomix screen: "Error 36" or something similar? Thanks in advance!
Hi Nuria,
Wow… 🙁 My advice is to turn off the machine and turn it on after a few minutes. If you browse the internet you will see that there are pages that indicate what each error means. I hope it's nothing serious…
All the best
Finally someone adapts this recipe to the thermomix! I discovered them a couple of years ago and I love them but I have always made them in a pot and it requires much more time than you indicate here (in the recipe that I have they are boiled four times to get some heat, then the syrup is made and then they are left with the syrup for at least one hour). I hope they are so delicious because now my partner has also got hooked, they are great for a sore throat!
Hi Da,
If you dare to make them in Thermomix then tell us if they are very different from yours, okay? These sting, yes, but it is part of the "fun" of the candy. What I do is chop the ginger very finely, in this way they do not need too much cooking.
Thanks for your comment!
Rest assured that I will try the recipe and tell you, I am addicted to ginger!
In my recipe, despite boiling them, the heat is still there, even softer.
My mother used to consume ginger candies for her throat and they are great for her, I am going to encourage myself to do it with my thermomix, she will be very happy, but she is diabetic, how do I do it because of the sugar content?
Hello!! I just started doing them, what a thrill! To amortize the time a little more while I put the liter of water to cook for 10 minutes I have peeled and cut the ginger! I will put white sugar from organic production, you want to try them! Thanks for this recipe!
Good, Merche! I hope you like them 🙂
A hug!
Hello, the second cooking of the ginger at what speed? Thank you
Hi Inma!
Speed 1. Right now I correct it.
Thank you!
hello, the second cooking at what speed?
HELLO. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE RECIPE. MY DOUBT IS, ARE THEY TOO HARD? I HAVE PURCHASED THEM AND THEY ARE OF GUMMY TYPE TEXTURE AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY ARE THE SAME WITH THE THERMOMIX TO ENCOURAGE ME TO DO THEM. A GREETING
Hi Sabrina,
Go ahead and prepare them because it doesn't look like a jelly bean at all. These are hard so I think you will like them.
You will tell us 😉
Kisses!!
Excellent App. Thank you
Thanks angel
