Lentils with mushrooms and chorizo

Lentils mushrooms

I am passionate about stews, but more specifically, of the lentils. I could tell you that it is one of my favorite dishes since I was little. They tell me that when we were very young, the whole family went to eat at an Asian restaurant and I asked the waiter for "lentil"?

So at home I prepare them in many ways because in addition, it is a very grateful dish because we can always freeze it (yes, removing the potato first). Today we are going to prepare them with thistle mushrooms (they are the ones sold all year round in the supermarket) and Asturian-type smoked chorizo, but you can use whatever you have at home or whatever you like the most.

Thanks to you for following us, try them, you'll see how delicious they are. And the same with the rest of legumes, in addition to this you make sure that they are produced in Spain, that many times even if they are marketed by a Spanish company, the ones that come in the packages they sell in supermarkets are usually imported. And it's a shame, with the rich legumes that we have in Spain !! 🙂

It seems to me that the amount of water is exaggerated. I have grown a sea of lentils.

Hi Mario, the amount of water that lentils absorb and thicken many times depends on the type and / or brand of lentils you choose. A trick if they have been too runny is to bring them to a boil without the beaker for about 10 minutes so that the water evaporates. You can also remove excess liquid and bring them back to a boil. And finally, you can remove all the lentils from the glass. Add a little broth and a few lentils with potatoes. Blend it 30 seconds, progressive speed 5-7-10. Then you add all the lentils that you had removed and bring them to a boil, you will see how much work you have left in the broth. I hope I've helped! A hug 🙂
