Mesopotamian steak

Today I bring you a different dish, which I have learned from a book that the Kings gave me about Kitchen and History, where they take a gastronomic tour through different periods of our history in different regions. So here I present you a way to eat minced meat, but in an exotic way.

It is very easy to do and, of course, you can adapt it to your tastes by putting or removing spices. You will see what a delicious thing!

To accompany him I think it would be good cooked potatoes, white rice or a thick mashed potato. I accompanied it with homemade mashed potatoes to which I added some cooked carrots to give it color. I'll give you the recipe soon!

    MESOPOTAMIAN STEAK
Instead of flour, can I put something else in it?
    It is by removing calories.
THANK YOU and thank you for helping us every day with new
    recipes and also easy

Hello Teresa, it occurs to me that you can substitute it for breadcrumbs (it is to give consistency to the minced meat, because if not, it would break us when forming the steaks), but I do not know if this solves the calorie issue much ... I feel! Maybe you can make rice or chickpea flour ...

Hello everyone, I would like to know if mint leaves are very necessary as an ingredient, because I don't know where to buy it, nor do I find that flavor very funny, and if it can be substituted for something else. Thanks

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Of course Mariló, you can not put them on or substitute it for coriander (more intense flavor) or parsley. Anyway, in case you need it for another recipe, you can find fresh mint in any supermarket in the fruit and vegetable area.

Hello! Out of curiosity, what was the title called? I am passionate about History and I find that there is a book with recipes from all times, I love it!

And the recipe for Mesopotamian steaks is very good.

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hello Joaquín, thank you very much! The recipe is called "Albóndigas de Asurbanipal (XNUMXth century BC) and the title of the book is" Recipes with History "by Ángeles Díaz Simón. This steak recipe is an inspiration in them, so one day I make the original. All the best!
