Mexican fajitas

Chicken fajitas

This is one of my recipes Favorite. At home we prepare them a lot, especially when we want to make a most special dinner during the weekend.

It is very easy to make and the ingredients are very flights. So it just takes a little practice to wrap them well. But don't worry, we'll use toothpicks to close them.

What a coincidence Claudia! Well, try it in the thermomix, from my point of view they are juicier. You'll tell me pretty!

    Hello!

If you want a lighter option, you can substitute the mayonnaise for natural yogurt.

I am like the usual ones and they are also very good.

Thanks for the suggestion Nuria, I think it's a great idea. We will prove it.
      All the best

Thank you very much for your recipes, they are great.
I made them last night and I had the problem that they did not lack water but that they had plenty of excess and that after 5 minutes I removed a lot of broth that the jar had, that if they were great in flavor, what could happen or there to take them away the beaker to evaporate. Thank you so much.

    1.    Susana said

The same thing happened to me as you, Vanesa, the sauce was left with a lot of liquid. For the rest they were great….

    2.    Carme said

It happened to me too. I had to throw out a lot of liquid. But everyone really liked them.
      Thanks for sharing

Well, how strange, I think it will depend on the type of chicken ... there are some that release more water than others. I will include this observation in the text of the recipe. Thank you girls! What would we do without your comments ...

Hello, I already made them and they are super super delicious. In addition to being easy to make and that the children love. In my case they brought friends to have a picnic and it was great because they liked them a lot. Thank you so much. A big kiss

What a joy Sandra, it's fantastic to get it right when you have guests for lunch. I am very happy. Thank you very much for your comment.

In my house they were also a complete success. The only bad thing too, was the amount of sauce it had. I would love it to be thicker, what do I do? Thank you so much. I congratulate you on your recipes, they are wonderful, in my house they are delighted since I have started using the thermomix more.

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hello Mercedes! Well, for the sauce to be thicker you have two options, or reduce the initial amount of water or leave it to cook for a longer time with the beaker removed so that it evaporates. Anyway, I am going to reduce the amount of water in the ingredients because I see that it has happened to many of you. Thanks for your comment!!

The water is still too much, the filling is very watery and it takes away flavor.

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hi Lou, thanks for your message, we will revisit the quantities to reduce them. A hug!

Good recipe, my tb has been left with a lot of water and the novelty is that the chicken has completely destroyed me !! It seemed pure ...

  13.   Belén said

I have prepared them tonight for dinner and the truth is that they taste very good ... the only thing I have had to drain the chicken because it has come out with excess water and the chicken has shredded! Next time I'll try bigger chicken pieces and reduce the sauce.

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Next time you can put less amount of water and maybe put less time so that the chicken does not flake. Thanks for writing to us! A kiss.

  14.   Belén said

I prepared these wonderful fajitas again, this time I put the chicken pieces a little bigger and added only 50 ml of water ... the last five minutes I removed the cup and put the basket to reduce the water ... the result was perfect! !!. thanks for your recipes

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Fabulous Bethlehem !! What joy you give me. Well then, I'm going to reduce the amount of water in the recipe a little more ... let's see if we can find the key! Thank you very much for your message. A hug.

  15.   María said

Well, I have made them exactly the same but instead of chicken I have put minced beef…. Spectacular !!!!

  16.   Javier said

Authentic disaster totally shredded meat, following step by step and it has remained like this, it is clear that I will continue to make them in a pan nor point of comparison

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hi Javier, I'm sorry ... next time if you dare put the chicken in larger pieces. I am going to include the butterfly in the recipe, because I think this would avoid this problem. Thanks for your comment! A hug.

  17.   Kris said

Very good, I always made them in a pan and I love how they have turned out. In the last 5 minutes I have added half a can of corn. Thank you very much for the recipe, much faster and easier 😉

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

What a great suggestion Kris! I'm going to try it for sure.

      Regards!

What a way to waste chicken onion peppers… .., one of the worst recipes for fajitas, on the internet there are much better than this one, what a waste of time and money

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hi David, I'm sorry you didn't like it. However, you do not say why you did not like it and there are many comments above that confirm that they come out great and that they are very rich. It is interesting to give more information in the comments to know what has failed or why you did not like them.

  19.   miarge said

Don't even think about making it, I'm going to work it out and I'm going to make croquettes, I already missed putting it in the water, the chicken comes out dry, boiled

  20.   Irene Arcas said

Hello Miarge, I tell you the same as David, it would be interesting to know what happened to you, did your chicken fall apart and that is why you are going to use it to make croquettes? Is the chicken dry or boiled? Thanks for clarifying.
