Mushroom tartlets

This is a recipe that I make every Christmas for Christmas Eve, and every year I change the filling, so this year, we will have mushrooms. It is very simple and comfortable to do because you can have everything done with in advance and heat it just before serving. You can leave the tartlets already baked and the filling, you can put it in the microwave for a minute and it will be perfect for filling.

We will have some delicious tartlets, very juicy for the cream and with a very intense flavor that the wine reduction and the serrano ham.

You can also replace the wafer dough by shortcrust pastry or puff pastry. And to cut them and put them in the muffin molds, you can use a glass with a large mouth.

It seems like a great appetizer for these holidays, but I would like to know what a muffin mold is, I see that the wafer dough is up and I imagine it will be when they are browning but I would like to know if it is so.
    Thank you

Mª José, the muffin tin is a specific mold for making muffins and muffins. It is a metal or silicone plate that has holes to put the muffin batter. So I also use it to give the tartlets a deep shape, that's why you see that they are upwards, it is not the effect of the oven. They are sold in any hardware or hypermarket.

Hello, can you help me by giving me another filling, I would like it with prawns or some seafood, do you have any ideas?
    Thank you

    1.    Irene said

Hello Maite, you can make a kind of seafood salpicón with various lettuces, prawns, apple and pink sauce. Or you can take the filling from the "Treasures of the Sea" recipe. And the only difference is that your recipe, instead of being hot like mine, will be a cold dish ... but it admits any filling that you like.

You can tell me how I can make them in the microwave. You can send me snacks for Christmas that I don't need to make in the oven. Thank you, you are great

    1.    Irene said

The truth is, Mari Carmen, I don't know how to do it in the microwave ... I'm sorry. If not, you can buy ready-made tartlets or vol-au-vans, which at this time are sold in all supermarkets.

I liked the idea!! I'm already thinking of different fillings, thanks for your ideas. ************ Merry Christmas********

Thanks to you Mari Carmen! The truth is that it supports any type of filling that you like. You will tell us!

I love it! Great that the filling can be prepared in advance, by the way, if I use laminated mushrooms, how much do you recommend?
    Thank you very much
    Carmen

    1.    Irene said

Hello Carmen, I cannot tell you an exact amount because I always do it with whole mushrooms and I laminate them. But I think that with a small tray (it seems to me that it has 250gr) it will be more than enough. Keep in mind that the tarts should not be filled too much, because if not, the dough would be thin and they can become heavy. You will tell me!

Good afternoon, the other day I saw this recipe and since it had all the ingredients I tried to make them. Great, I only had 4 wafers to fill that served as a sample, the rest I put as a side for some grilled chicken fillets. Thank you very much for giving us so many ideas, you have me hooked on your page because everything I do is great for me.

Hello Rocío, thank you very much for your comment. I'm very glad you liked them, and of course, as a side for some chicken fillets ... it would be great for sure.

    What does he have…..
This year I am going to innovate at Christmas Eve dinner and I want to make different dishes and this is going to be one of them.
I hope it turns out well because at this point I don't have time to try to do it before… ..
Just a question. I have never used the wafers for dumplings, that is why I would like you to tell me if I can bake them before (for example at noon) to serve them at dinner (I would put the filling at the time of serving)

Thank you very much and Merry Christmas everyone

    1.    Irene said

Hi Becky, of course! you can do them at noon and have them ready for the evening. And you can also leave the filling prepared from the morning and heat it just before mounting it on the tartlets. Of course, do not heat the tartlets because they will become soft. Lucky!

Hello, I do not know if it will be valid or not, of course it would not be as good, but I would like to substitute the cream for another ingredient such as Evaporated Milk or Puleva Light Cream, I can not take a lot of fat but I love the canapes the pint that they have to surprise at my house for the end of the year. Thanks greetings.

    1.    Irene said

Of course it is Angel! The only thing is that you look at the thickness of what you use, go that you have excessively liquid, ok? With the light puleva cream I think it will look great on you. You will tell us! Thank you for following us.
