And for today: gnocchi with pumpkin sauce and bacon… A very tasty, delicious, delicate, smooth and very easy recipe! So if you are starting in the Thermomix world... this may be one of your great recipes. It is as easy as mashing the vegetables, making a rich sauce, adding the gnocchi, 5 minutes of cooking the gnocchi and that's it!
The good thing about gnocchi is that they are very helpful, because they fill a lot and are made in 2 minutes in water and then you can add the sauce you want or you can prepare them in 5 minutes directly in their sauce. We, in this case, prepare it with a pumpkin sauce, red pepper and a little bacon.

Hello Irene, Yesterday I prepared the gnocchi following your recipe and I have to say that you were delicious. I have a couple of questions; On the one hand, I would like to do more since they fell a little short 😉 and I don't know if by increasing to 1 kg. the gnocchi, you have to double all the amounts of the other ingredients or not ...
And on the other hand, although the flavor was spectacular, the visual not so much and is that all the gnocchi broke (despite using the left turn), I did not put it in the recipe but I thought that maybe putting the butterfly would help , what do you think?
Thank you very much!
Hello Leticia, I am very glad you liked them! The truth is that they come out very rich. Let's go there with your questions:
1. You can increase the gnocchi to 1kg without problem, so you should double the amounts of the other ingredients, but the time leaves the same for the whole process, is it okay? I mean, don't increase it.
2. Without a doubt, if you are going to make a kilo of gnocchi, it would be convenient for you to turn to the left. As a recommendation, I would tell you to cook the sauce for 2 minutes first and then add the gnocchi and program for 3 minutes. This way we reduce their cooking a little and they do not fall apart.
Thanks for writing to us!!
Thank you very much Irene for your answer. I have seen on the internet that there are those who make the gnocchi in the steamer and once cooked they incorporate them into the sauce to prevent them from breaking. Have you ever tried doing them like this? Or do you think that putting the butterfly on and reducing the cooking time will solve the problem? 🙂
Well, I have in mind a recipe for gnocchi in the varoma that would be prepared at the same time as the sauce in the glass. If you leave me a week I'll publish it and I'll tell you the difference, do you think? So we will surely adjust until we find the perfect recipe !!! 😉
That would be a hoot! Thanks a lot!! I'll be looking forward to the recipe 🙂
Hi Irene, a very silly question. How big do you have to dice the pumpkin? I think that, so that in just 10 minutes (5 + 5) the pumpkin cooks and falls apart to the point that the sauce remains as in the photo, they must be very small cubes, right?
