Orange cupcakes

orange-cupcakes

"I suppose it can also be made with orange, right?" This is the comment that Pepi left us a few days ago on the recipe for the sponge cake with lemon syrup. Well here it is, said and done: orange cupcakes

You can prepare them for a children's party or for any special occasion where you have guests.

It is the "orange" version of that juicy sponge cake with lemon syrup. Baking it in a rectangular tray and cutting it into individual portions we obtain these cakes with an intense orange flavor.
And if you want them even more special, put a little chocolate on the surface. There will be no one who will resist.

What size would the mold have, and could I put less sugar on it? Very sweet things are NOT very popular in my family, although I continually make biscuits for breakfast.

      Hello Blanca,
Sure you can put less sugar. The good thing about cooking at home is that we can adapt the recipes to our tastes.
As for the measure of the mold, I used an oven-safe tray of about 34 × 22 centimeters.
      Take care!

    It looks great!
Doesn't it have yogurt or milk?
Could it be done in the microwave? How much time and power?
    Thank you very much!

      Hello Mercedes:
Anyway, they don't have yogurt or milk, so even people who are intolerant to dairy products can take them. The liquid will carry it, on the one hand the orange juice and on the other the sunflower oil.
      I hope you like them.
      Take care!

I forgot about the micro ... The truth is that I can't tell you 🙁 I make all the cakes in the oven so I don't have much practice with the microwave in that sense. If you usually make cakes in it, you can try this recipe, giving it the times and power that you usually use.
      Thanks for following us, Mercedes.

Delicious. I have not put the chocolate and the juice I have used the one with three oranges and even so I have juice left over.
Just one little question ... Should the juice be kept in the refrigerator when it is raw so that the cupcakes do not turn sour overnight?
    Thank you

      Hello Amparo!
I'm glad you have liked them. If you can, put them in the fridge, so you make sure they keep well. Also, fresquitos are very tasty.
      A hug!
