Padrón peppers in TM5

Padrón peppers

I finally have my new thermomix TM5!! I had a desire ... but worst of all, I had thought to sell the old TM31 ... and I have not been able to? ... I was very sorry and she manages me phenomenally so my mother got her! So we have a thermomix in each house?

One of the first recipes that I have prepared have been these delicious Padrón peppers. I have to admit that they are not like the ones we make in a frying pan, that's right, but I also have to tell you that the texture is delicious (It is like roasted peppers), which gets much less dirty because we will avoid having the whole kitchen with splashes of oil and, above all, they will be less caloric because we will need less oil. So I took advantage of the fact that I had bought them to leave my thermomix running and making me dinner while I organized the house a bit at night. We accompany them with a raff tomato salad and a French omelette.

If you like peppers, don't stop preparing them in the thermomix. I leave you these delicious pepper recipes: roasted peppers, Fried peppers.

Hello Núria-52 if you turn to the left they will not break 🙂

    Hi lrene,
I follow you on your blog, I am Galician and I wanted to tell you that the peppers are from Padron (Municipality of the province of A Coruña), not "from the padron".
    Congratulations on your posts,
    All the best

Thank you very much Chenosa, we correct it right now !! Thanks for the info, you always learn something! 😉

They break in half and 35 minutes is a long time. They are better in a pan and it takes less time.
    Do not care.

Hello Ángel, I also agree that they are better in a pan, but there are people who prefer to do it in a thermomix because the kitchen gets less dirty. So here is the alternative. None of them broke for me, maybe at some point you forgot to turn to the left ...

The second time I make them and they break, also there is almost no oil left. I have respected both quantities and the way of doing it.With TM 5

How rare Txus, is it because of the type of pepper? Maybe they are very tender and they break with that ... because if you have done them twice, surely you had the left turn on ... I have prepared them a few times and they have never broken, maybe try less time ... Thank you for writing us!

The first ones were from Padron, the second ones were from here in the Basque Country. Today I am trying with the latter, with less quantity and with the butterfly.

I made the peppers today and they all crushed me, despite having put the left turn ... a disaster

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Sandra, how strange, maybe your peppers were super tender. Next time try putting the butterfly. Thanks for writing to us!

Following the recipe to the letter, I have obtained Padrón pepper puree!

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Lourdes, how weird! I have done it several times and they have never come undone. Try to put the butterfly next time, perhaps the peppers were very tender and that is why they have been destroyed with the blades and the left turn ...

Hello, another here who has followed the recipe to the letter (with a left turn, in case you were wondering)… and Padrón pepper puree. There are already many of us, this recipe has not been tested at all, probably the photo has been taken from another website. The last time I will use a recipe from this blog

Hi Jaime, we have modified the recipe by reducing the cooking time and using a butterfly to avoid damaging the peppers. Probably the photo has NOT been taken from any other website, like the rest of the photos on this blog, which we bother to take ourselves after cooking our own recipes. We encourage you to keep trying, you will see how little by little you get the point of your thermomix and make some wonderful padrón peppers and many other recipes. Thanks for writing us!
