Pasta with broccoli

In today's video you can see how cook pasta in Thermomix and remove the water with the help of the basket, without removing the pasta from the glass. 

In this case we will do it with some broccoli florets, which we will steam beforehand. That water from the steam cooking will be the one we use later to cook the pasta. 

But what really gives flavor to the dish is the sauce that we will prepare in the first step, with dry tomatoes, anchovies and a clove of garlic. What do you want more powerful? Add a chilli to that concoction and enjoy.

A very tasty pasta due to the dried tomatoes and healthy thanks to the broccoli. It is prepared using only Thermomix.

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 4 anchovy fillets in oil
  • 60 g of dried tomatoes
  • 40 g olive oil
  • 1200 g of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 300 g broccoli, in small florets
  • 320 g of short pasta

Preparation

  1. We put the garlic clove, the anchovy fillets and the dried tomatoes in the glass. In this step is where we can add a chilli. We program 5 seconds, speed 7.

  2. We lower with the spatula what has remained on the walls of the glass.

  3. We add the oil and program 5 minutes, 120º, speed 1. 

  4. We put the mixture in a small bowl and reserve it.

  5. Without having to wash the glass, we put the water and salt in it. 

  6. Between the varoma container and its tray we distribute the broccoli florets.

  7. We cover the varoma and place it in position. We program 30 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1.

  8. We carefully remove the varoma and reserve it.

  9. We put the pasta in the glass (which still contains the water) and we program the time indicated on the pasta package, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

  10. Once cooked, we remove the water with the help of the basket, as seen in the video. We will no longer need that water.

  11. Now we add the mixture of dried tomatoes and anchovies that we have prepared at the beginning. Also the steamed broccoli. We program 15 seconds, left turn, spoon speed.

  12. We just integrate everything with the spatula and serve immediately.

Notes

We use dried tomatoes, dehydrated. They can be substituted for dried tomatoes that come in oil as long as the amount of olive oil that appears in the recipe is reduced.
