What are you planning to make for dinner tonight? If you have in the freezer peas and a little bacon or ham in the fridge, cheer up with this proposal.

It is a simple dish and what we can still do less caloric if we substitute the bacon for cubes of cooked ham. 

And what better to accompany them than a mashed potatoes? You can give it a different touch if you do Italian style, as Irene taught us Enjoy it!

With bacon, with Serrano ham and even with cooked ham, these peas are a perfect dinner that you can accompany with mashed potatoes made in Thermomix

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 30 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 500 g frozen peas
  • 100 g of white wine
  • Salt and pepper (optional)

Preparation

  1. We crush the parsley by programming 5 seconds, speed 7. We take out and reserve.

  2. Without washing the glass we put the onion and crush it by programming 5 seconds, speed 7. We lower with the spatula what is left on the walls.

  3. We add the oil and the bacon. We program 3 minutes, 100º, left turn, speed 1.

  4. We add the peas, the wine, the salt and, if we want, a little pepper. We program 20 minutes, 100º, left turn, speed 1.

  5. When the time is up we put the chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

We can substitute the bacon for cured and even cooked ham, and we make it less caloric.
