They are not the traditional croquettes because they are not made with béchamel. They have the same shape but inside we find mashed potato with meat.

Of course, they follow the same philosophy: benefit the remains of stew or the meat that we may have left over from another preparation.

I am one of those who thinks that there is nothing like the usual croquettes ... but if you want to change, I encourage you to try this recipe. If you have children you can contemplate it as idea for dinners.

Great use recipe and another dinner idea for the whole family: potato and meat croquettes. Same name but different from the traditional ones.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of meat already cooked (from cooked or from other preparations)
  • 800 g of peeled potato
  • 400g milk
  • Sal Island
  • Nutmeg
  • 10 g of extra virgin olive oil

To bread:

  • Flour (XNUMXg)
  • Egg
  • Bread crumbs

To fry:

  • Abundant oil

Preparation

  1. We chop the meat with several turbo strokes. We reserve it in a bowl.

  2. Without having to wash the glass, we make the potato puree. We fit the butterfly on the blades. We put the potato in pieces and the milk. We program 30 minutes, 90º, speed 1.

  3. We remove the milk from cooking. We add salt, nutmeg and the oil. We mash the potato, still with the butterfly on, in speed 3 for a few seconds.

  4. Mix the meat with the mashed potato in a bowl. Let it cold down.

  5. We make the croquettes (giving them the shape of the traditional croquettes or making balls). We batter them with flour, egg and breadcrumbs.

  6. We fry in abundant oil and ready to serve.

Notes

When carrying potatoes they cannot be frozen. If you are few at home, it is best to do less.
