Another interesting first dish for this time of year: cream of carrot, pumpkin and curry.

With easy-to-find ingredients that, when mixed, turn into a delicious dish. The curry gives it that spicy touch that gives the cream personality. And the texture… Fabulous, thanks to our Thermomix.

A delicious cream made with carrot, pumpkin, potato and with curry. That curry makes it a first course that leaves no one indifferent.

Ingredients

  • 50 g of onion in pieces
  • 30 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of curry powder (about 15 g)
  • 275 g carrot, peeled
  • 125 g of pumpkin, already clean and in pieces
  • 100 g of potato
  • 220 g of water
  • 160g milk
  • Sal Island
  • Toasted bread to accompany (optional)

Preparation

  1. We put the onion and the oil in the glass. We program 2 seconds, speed 7. We add the curry. We program 4 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  2. We add the carrot, the pumpkin and the potato. We program 10 seconds, progressive speed 3-5 and then 5 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  3. We add the water and milk. We put the basket on the lid of the glass (without putting the cup) and program 30 minutes, 90º, speed 1.

  4. After the scheduled time we put a little salt. We cover the machine, place the beaker and crush 1 minute in progressive speed 7-10, always holding the beaker.

  5. We serve with toasted or fried bread.

Notes

With this amount of curry the cream is quite strong. We can put less quantity if we like it softer.

    It is delicious, I have used semi-skimmed milk and I have added a little pepper; olvery good recipe.
