If you celebrate Halloween Surely you already have your pumpkin at home, waiting to be emptied. Well, today's recipe is to take advantage of that pulp or that of any other pumpkin.

We are going to use roasted pumpkin so, if you take advantage of the pulp of the Halloween, you will have to bake it before putting it in the Thermo glass. If you use any other pumpkin you can roast it whole, at 180-200 and until you can insert a skewer stick without having to force yourself.

When the pulp is done, you just have to put all the ingredients in the glass and mash. Our machine takes care of that.

You can serve the hummus with a drizzle of olive oil, a little paprika, some seeds and some homemade crackers.

Ingredients

For the pumpkin hummus:

  • 500 g of roasted pumpkin pulp
  • 220 g chickpeas, cooked and drained
  • 40 g of tahini
  • A splash of lemon juice
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper

Plus:

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Peppers
  • Pumpkin, sunflower and / or flax seeds
  • crackers

Preparation

  1. We roast the pumpkin in the oven, at 180 ° or 200 ° and until it is soft. You can roast only the pulp or the whole pumpkin (washing it before).

  2. Put the roasted pumpkin in pieces, the drained chickpeas, the tahini paste, the lemon juice, the salt and the pepper in the glass. We program 20 seconds, speed 4.

  3. We see if everything is well crushed and integrated. If it was not, we would program a few more seconds at that same speed.

  4. We put the hummus in a container. Before serving, we pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on the surface, a little paprika from La Vera and, if we want and have, some seeds (pumpkin, sunflower and / or flax). We accompany with crackers or with toasted bread.

Notes

Another option is to cook the squash instead of roasting it. If you prefer this alternative, keep in mind that it must be well drained before putting it in the glass.
