Pumpkin cakes

With these pumpkin stars The Thermoreceta team wish you all a Merry Christmas.

They are the simplest: we make a sponge cake with roasted pumpkin and spices that smell like Christmas. We spread it on a baking tray and, once our sponge sheet is baked and cold, we cut it with a star-shaped mold. Then it only remains to decorate with chocolate melted and icing sugar.

Showy roasted pumpkin cakes with a star shape. The spices accentuate its flavor and make it a perfect sweet for this Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 70 g of cane sugar
  • 60 g de azúcar blanquilla
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 260 g roasted pumpkin, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g of pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 150g milk
  • 1 on yeast
  • Dessert chocolate to decorate
  • Icing sugar to decorate

Preparation

  1. We roast the pumpkin in the oven, skinless and in small pieces. Bake at 160º for approximately 1 hour.

  2. We fit the mariposa in the glass. We put in it the sugar and butter. We program 1 minute, speed 3.

  3. We remove the butterfly. We add the pumpkin, eggs, flour, spices, milk and yeast. We program 3 minutes, speed 4.

  4. We spread the mixture on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

  5. Bake at 180º for approximately 20 minutes, until cooked.

  6. Once out of the oven, and when it has cooled down, we cut stars with a pasta cutter. We decorate them with melted chocolate. When the chocolate has cooled down we can decorate our Christmas stars with icing sugar.

Notes

We can put chocolate chips in the dough itself and then bake.[br]Another option is to make a cake, putting that dough in a circular mold and baking for a few more minutes (the time will depend on the thickness of the cake, that is, the mold diameter size).
