The name of these cakes is not by chance. Called Red velvet its intense color and soft texture. Originally, this dessert was made with beet juice. Hence its color. Over time, this ingredient was replaced by food coloring that did not add any flavor to the cake, making it remain even more sweet y colorful.

The preparation of these cupcakes is quite peculiar but nothing complicated. A series of ingredients are used that may surprise you at first but, if you have already tried them, you will know very well that the result is a gift for the palate.

Ummm ... they look spectacular! Can you use margarine, or does it have to be butter? Thanks

Hello Gema! You can use margarine for the dough, but I recommend butter. It has a different consistency and is better. In addition, butter is much healthier than margarine as it is not a hydrogenated fat. Where the use of butter is not negotiable is in the 'frosting'. We must use butter or the consistency will not be in conditions. Thank you very much for watching the video and for the comment! ?

Hi I would like to know if there is any difference in making it in a Thermomix TM31 to the new Thermomix.
If the speed, temperature or time varies.

Hello, in step 5 of the preparation of the cupcakes you indicate that you have to add the egg, but I have not been able to see it in the ingredients, only 1 egg?
And how much vanilla essence should be added, both for cupcakes and frosting? Thanks.
