On the occasion of the month of love, this week I propose a succulent breakfast so that you surprise your partner on the day of Valentine's Day!. It is a delicious Red Velvet pancakes.

The Red Velvet or Red velvet It is a classic on Valentine's Day. The red color of the cake and that taste of cocoa so soft it makes us all fall for the charms of this sweet. It is very common to find this variety in biscuits y cupcakes. However, today I wanted to extrapolate it to one of my favorite breakfasts: the American pancakes.

It will take us no effort to make pancakes and surely afterwards you will be delighted to enjoy a breakfast o picnic delicious and very elegance. You can accompany them with what you like the most: syrup, jam, born mounted...

Red Velvet pancakes. All the flavor of the classic red sponge cake combined with the texture of American pancakes to enjoy Valentine's Day in the best company.

Ingredients

  • 180 g of all-purpose wheat flour
  • 20 g of defatted cocoa powder (Value)
  • 300g milk
  • 50 butter g
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • 30 g of sugar
  • 1 sachet of chemical yeast (15 g)
  • Deep red paste coloring
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. First we melt the butter. We introduce it in the glass and program 2 minutes, temperature 70º and speed 1.

  2. Add the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla essence, flour, cocoa and yeast or mix everything by programming 10 seconds at speed 5.

  3. We transfer the dough to a bowl. Add the dye paste little by little until we find a deep red.

  4. We put a pan over high heat with a little butter. Once melted we remove the excess with a napkin or kitchen paper and with an ice cream spoon we pour portions of the dough. That way, they will all have the same measurement. We extend it a bit giving a circular shape. When we see bubbles on the surface, we turn it over and remove them to a plate. We lower the heat a little and repeat the process until we finish with the dough.

  5. We serve them warm accompanied by whipped cream, jam, chocolate ...
