Roasted almond drink

Almond milk

Today I propose a use of the Thermomix different with this recipe. A vegetable drink: Roasted almond drink.

For some time now, there has been a lot of talk about the benefits of vegetable drinks. Some defend them for being a good alternative to milk of animal origin for those who are lactose intolerant. Others because it is an option of more healthy than conventional milk.

Whatever the case, with our Thermomix we can make any type of vegetable drink in no time. On 10 minutes We will have it ready and we will just have to wait for it to cool. By combining speed with temperature, cooking the brew while blending makes production a breeze. Our Thermomix allows us to make a commercial recipe in a way healthy and natural, since in most commercial brands they add additives and sugar to enhance the flavor of it. We can control the use of sweeteners and fats that we want to add, choosing at will from a great variety.

Once done, we will filter it with a fine cotton cloth or a cloth strainer. With the leftover pulp (okara) we can make other recipes such as cookies or cakes. We can even bake it at a low temperature to obtain almond flour that we could use to make ice creams or a sablé dough. I will propose some ideas in future posts.

Once filtered we will let it cool completely before putting it in the refrigerator. We can consume it within a maximum period of 4 or 5 days.

I hope you like it a lot and that you dare to do it!

    Hello,

I suppose you can do the same with unroasted almonds.

Thank you so much for the recipe.

    A greeting.

Sure! It won't have that roasted flavor but it will be just as good. I hope you like it very much! Thanks for viewing the recipe.

I really like the recipe, but I can't find the vanilla essence; the only thing I find is vanilla scent.

I would also like to know why it is necessary to heat for 10 ′ at 90º.

    Thank you very much.

    A greeting.

Hello, Salva! You can use both aroma and essence of vanilla, or not use it directly. You can flavor it however you want using cinnamon, ground ginger or even cloves ... that will suit you ... As for cooking, it is necessary to cook the mixture so that all the nutrients are well blended and it is somewhat denser. In some recipes the temperature is not set but I personally prefer it that way. I hope I have solved your doubts! All the best!
