Salmon marmitako

Salmon marmitako

I was very surprised by this recipe. I had been wanting to eat a different but different fish recipe for days, and it occurred to modify the typical tuna marmitako recipe, replacing it with salmon. The truth is that I liked it much more than with tuna. The fish has been so tender and juicy and the broth with the vegetables so tasty that we will prepare it many times at home.

In addition, it is a very healthy and very nutritious recipe. And, of course, a different and delicious way of eating fish.

Hello. Since I read the recipe the other day, I knew it was for success. Today I made it and I hardly have to do the dishes. It has been a great success that I want to share with you.

The only changes I have made are: add less paprika, a little more fish stock and 5 more minutes of cooking the potato and carrot.

Regards, and thank you very much!

You do not say in which step to put the salt, I think

Efectivmante Javier, thanks for the annotation. It is already corrected. It is to season the salmon. By using vegetable or fish broth, we would no longer use salt for cooking. Thanks for writing to us! 🙂

I am too new to the kitchen (first independence). The salmon is thrown once the stew is done and with the simple heat of it it is already done, right? Does salmon need little cooking?

Welcome to Thermorecetas! That's Fernando, with the simple heat of the stew the salmon will be cooked to its optimal point so that it is tasty and very juicy. Fish, in general, need very little cooking time. If we pass them, they will be stiff and dry. Also, keep in mind that our salmon here comes in cubes, so it will cook faster than if it were a whole piece. Luck! You'll tell us how it goes. Thanks for writing to us!! 🙂
