Today's homemade celery salt is one of those examples ... you can't imagine what a fragrance it has!
This habit of doing it myself at home I don't know if it is a good habit or a hobby and it has led me to share with you a series of scented salts easy to do, with natural ingredients and that we can use with complete peace of mind.
Homemade celery salt can be used in our soups, creams, stews and stews, although it will undoubtedly make our Bloody Mary have a lot more personality.
It's a good idea like gourmet gift because it keeps well for weeks. Although it is true that as time goes by it loses its aroma and its color becomes darker but in no case will it get bad because it contains a lot of salt and this is a good preservative.
Homemade celery salt
This homemade celery salt has an incredible aroma. Perfect to use in stews, soups or cocktails.

Ingredients
- A bunch of celery with leaves
- Maldon salt or flakes
Preparation
We defoliate the celery stalks, discarding the stems, both large and small.
We wash the leaves well, dry them with kitchen paper trying not to leave any water.
We put them on a tray in the oven at 160º with heat up and down and dry them for 10 minutes. After the first 5 minutes we can move them so that they dry well on all sides.
Once the time is up, we remove the tray from the oven. We will see that the leaves are crisp and that they have lost volume.
Now is the time to measure that volume and then add the same amount of salt. For this we put all the dehydrated leaves in a glass, cup or bowl (it does not have to be a measuring cup). We take a good look at where the volume goes. We pass them to the Thermomix glass and fill the same container with salt up to where the celery leaves reached. We also put the salt in the glass.
To mix and grind we program 15 seconds, speed 3. We will see that the flake salt has been lightly pulverized. From here we can give it the texture we want by prolonging the time a few more seconds.
You are now ready to use our homemade celery salt.
