Afumicatto Risotto

I finally got the book of 101 rice dishes in the world of Thermomix! There are plenty of great ideas (if you like rice and international food) I recommend it.

This rice is wonderful, it is a very creamy risotto with a smoky touch that provolone and bacon give it. It is very easy to do and it is great. The only drawback is that you have to prepare and eat it at the moment. Try it and tell me!

A question after grating the cheese in step one, is it reserved or left in the glass ???

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Sorry Pedro, it was my fault. It's already cleared up. You have to reserve it and add it at the end. Thanks for your help! Oh what would I do without you.

  3.   Paqui said

What I was looking for, a creamy rice. I recently had the thermomix and made a risotto recipe, which was delicious, but not creamy, which was what I was looking for ... Thank you very much

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Well Paqui, you'll see how creamy this rice with cheese has. Tell me how it turns out and if you like it, huh? If you like risottos, I'll be uploading more recipes soon. Thanks for being there!

  5.   Maite said

Hello, can you put another cheese, where can I find this type of cheese?

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hi Maite, you can put Parmesan cheese on it if you want, risottos are a vice. You can find provolone cheese in any supermarket or cheese shop (I bought it at Mercadona, already packed, in the cheese area). Go ahead and try it because it is delicious.

Thanks for the recipe and for the blog in general. A doubt:
In the step where the rice is added, shouldn't the left turn be used already?

    1.    Irene Thermorecetas said

Hello Gracebalma, although it is not strictly necessary because the rice is hard and would not break, it never hurts to put it, so I have already modified it in the recipe. Thanks!

I love risotto and cheese, on Tuesday some friends come to my house for dinner. One question: What kind of rice did you use? Some special brand?

    Thank you

  13.   Ga said

Thank you so much for the recipe!! I love risottos, so this week I will try this recipe. Two questions: my thermomix is 21, the times and the temperature would be the same? And I do not have the option of turning to the left, would I have to put the butterfly?
Thank you very much in advance!

    1.    Irene Arcas said

      Hello ga,
Thank you very much for writing us. Sorry because in that recipe there are no equivalences between model 21 and 31. I'll put it here:

Bucket speed - speed 1 with throttle
      Left turn - butterfly
      Temperature 100º - temperature 90º

You'll tell me how it works out for you !! Thanks for writing to us.

  14.   Estefania said

Good morning! I want to make this recipe to eat, but there are only two of us. Do I have to reduce the times? Or, being rice, will it take that long to make and I just have to reduce the amounts?
    Thank you!!

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Estefanía reduces the quantities and all the times by half, EXCEPT the cooking time of the rice. A grain of rice always takes the same time to cook, regardless of whether there are 1 or 100. 😛 Thanks for writing !!
