Spaghetti carbonara goat cheese

Do you like spaghetti carbonara? We love it, it is one of our favorite dishes. Today we are going to prepare the «false» bacon and egg, using cream, but let's give it a good hint of flavor with creamy goat cheese.

There are several versions of spaghetti carbonara, but as you know, the authentic Italian carbonara only have egg, no cream. But the version with cream is very widespread, which makes them very soft and creamy and that, honestly, they are delicious. So if we add a little touch of goat roll, you are going to see what a delight.

I advise you to use a goat cheese, but of those sold in cheese shops or delicatessens, which are larger in diameter and tastier than the small rolls that are already packaged.

    Hi Irene, I really like this recipe, but I don't understand why you reserve 1/2 a glass of water, if you don't add it to the mixture later, is it in case it is too dense when adding the cheese? Thanks

      Hello Ana, indeed. The recipe is now corrected. It's not really 100% necessary, but I like to add that little glass of cooking water because it gives the sauce an incredible creaminess. I've already included it. Thanks for the warning! 🙂
