When they talk to me about Mexican food or tex-mex food The image of a fajita with its meat, its vegetables and its spicy sauce always comes to mind.

The truth is that the fajitas give a lot of play because they can be filled with both chicken, beef and pork. The filling also usually has pepper, although in this version I have only used the green pepper elongated or Italian.

The sauce is made from homemade ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco that adds the flavor hot spicy so characteristic of tex-mex food. Of course, if we like it stronger we can always add a chili cut into strips or dried cayenne but without the seeds.

Delicious tex-mex fajitas made with beef, onion, green pepper, and a slightly spicy sauce. Easy to do and in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 400 g beef fillets
  • 1 thread of oil
  • 100 g onion
  • 100 g of green pepper
  • 10 g olive oil
  • 60 g ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Wheat tortillas

Preparation

  1. Cut the fillets into strips, removing any possible webs or remains of fat. Sauté them with a string of oil in a frying pan until golden brown. Season and reserve.

  2. Cut the onion into feathers and fry with 10 g of oil for 7 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

  3. While washing and cutting the green pepper into strips.

  4. After time, put the butterfly on the blades. Add the meat, bell pepper strips, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, lemon juice, mustard, vinegar and brown sugar. Program 7 minutes, 100º, speed 1, left turn.

  5. Spread over the wheat tortillas. Wrap and prick them with a toothpick so they do not open. Place them on a platter and serve immediately before they cool down.
