Legume stew with spinach

Thermomix Recipe Legume stew with spinach

I discovered this vegetable stew with spinach in an advertisement for soups. At first, I cooked it in my pot but when I got home my Thermomix® I easily adapted the recipe. I love how good it looks and how rich it comes out.

I usually do it in cold seasons, although we like it at home eat from spoon and my little ones usually ask me at any time of the year. It looks like a very traditional stew and I always use it when my grandmother or older people come, as they remind them of the old stew and they love it.

It's a recipe Very complete and homemade for which it can be used from chickpeas to any type of beans, including cinnamon beans or black beans.

In this recipe you can use the covers to prevent the potatoes from falling apart too much. Put it at the beginning of the recipe to make it easier for you to fit it on the blades.

Hi Silvia, keep making stews like this because it is great, the spinach can be crushed, so that my son does not notice it because he does not want vegetables, well a greeting ´´MARI´´

    1.    Silvia said

MAri Carmen, the truth is that it is a very complete stew and it comes out great.
When my little girl was 18 months old, I would make the stew for the rest of the family and she would grind it up whole and eat it great.
      A greeting

Hello. This is one of the recipes that you propose and I have made. The only thing is that instead of chickpeas (I didn't have cans at the time), I did it with beans. Terrific.
Every time I enter a comment, I will thank you again for your blog and your recipes.
Add that I have a celiac child and that a "new" world has opened up for us with your help.
    A hug

Sonia my husband also loves with beans. Celiac disease is my turn too, because I have a niece and I am always waiting to see if she is suitable for it, so do not worry, I will continue to support this issue.

hello all girls I love your blog although I have only been 2 weeks but I am already getting fond of it. I am trying to make your recipe but I have made a mistake and it is that I did not have pot chickpeas and I have thrown them out of the ones that I had soaked the day before and they are coming out super hard, I have had to put them in more time, are only the ones that come in boats or not? I hope you help me for the next recipe, a kiss girls.

    1.    Elena said

Hello Rachel. Chickpeas take a long time to cook. If you have a speed cooker, cook them for 20 minutes after the steam comes out and you're done. Then you can make the recipe in the Thermomix. For this reason, we put the cooked legumes from the pot, because otherwise it would take a long time. Greetings and welcome. I hope you like our recipes.

      1.    Rachel said

Thanks but I had no idea that they would have to be from a boat, I'm going to leave them as impossible and next time they will be better, hahaha. Ah, the recipes that you publish for how many people are because we are 2 and the little one is 2 years old, thanks for everything.

    2.    Silvia said

Raquel, as the time they need to cook the rest of the ingredients is not too much, so we put the legumes from the pot, because if we give it much more time the rest is undone.

Thank you for the recipe! I wish I had found it a month ago, I had to "invent it", and with the "stress" I did not write down times or temperatures ... yes, it came out great. Let's see when I have time to prepare this one, I really want to try it! Oh, and if before putting the ingredients in the glass you make a sauce with oil and onion… it's to die for! Kisses.

    1.    Elena said

I hope you like it, Joana and with the sauce it will be delicious. All the best.

Can I use the canned chicken broth if I don't have it already? How much broth does the chicken broth recipe come out with? 1 liter or more? Excuse the questions but I'm going to start using the thermomix now. A lot of thanks for the blog. kisses

    1.    Silvia said

Elena, there is no problem in using the pot broth, it is also very rich and with the broth recipe it comes out more, if I am not mistaken as 1 liter and 1/2.
      Thank you for following us.

Hello! Of course my husband is delighted with you, for the variety of what he eats, and my pocket too, that these stews solve the food for nothing and less.
Just one little thing apart from thanking you, could you put for how many people approx. Does each recipe come out? It's that we are a large family and there are some that fall short ... although all of them are delicious!

    1.    Silvia said

Lolina, almost all the recipes are for about 4 or 6 people but above all I would tell you that for 4 because for 6 the servings are very rare. We will still try to put it in the recipe. All the best

Hello Silvia, this week I prepared this stew to eat and instead of doing it with spinach I made it with collard greens, a very typical wide-leaf vegetable from my terra, Asturias, and that after letting it freeze, or freeze it in the freezer It is delicious, very smooth and gave the dish an incredible flavor, very typical of the cold days we are spending, right? A delight of plate. Kisses to everyone

How rich the cabbage. It reminds me of my travels up north with my parents when I was little. My mother is very into stews and she always liked to order them and I remember cabbage perfectly and I loved it. I'm glad you liked it.
      All the best

My oldest daughter complained but I am very persistent and starting with a couple of tablespoons only at the end I got the whole plate and now she only looks expensive but eats them.

Hello, I just bought the thermomix and looking for recipes to try I found this blog, the recipes look great but you do not put it for the number of people that it is, I would like to know The vegetable stew with spinach and The chicken breast in sauce if more or less it is for 4 or 6 people.Thank you.

    1.    Silvia said

Generally they tend to be almost all recipes for 4 people. These are not usually very large servings.

Hello, if the spinach is raw, how long should I leave it for? or is it the same as frozen? Thank you

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hi Carolina, we will add them at the same time that we would add the frozen ones :), in step 4. If you want them more "al dente" you can add them when there are 5 minutes left to finish step 4. We hope you like it! Thanks for following us 😉
