Salmon Cake

For an event to go well it has to be organized, that is why I am very happy to know that you are already looking for the menu for Christmas.

The recipe that I propose is great for these cases, it is a salmon cake that is made in a plis plas the day before, stored in the fridge and served chilled in the evening, with which… guaranteed success and no hurries no complications!

It will allow us to focus on other dishes or sweets that are more laborious or simply have time to fix ourselves, which is also important.

About the ingredients say that they are very easy to get, perhaps the most complicated is the Quark cheese, which can be substituted for spreadable cheese, or the dill that is already sold in all supermarkets, you will find it in the cold zone of fruits and vegetables.

The asparagus I have used are wild asparagus but can be substituted for the same amount of canned white asparagus. In this case it would not be necessary to cook them, simply drain them very well and incorporate them with the rest of the vegetables.

As I know that you are involved and there is not much time to investigate, I have put a group of photos where you can see the Step by Step of the assembly.

You will tell me your opinion.

Good morning, I want to make your recipe but I wanted to ask you if you can substitute asparagus for another vegetable because they are not to our liking.
Thank you very much and greetings.

      Good morning Francisca,

substitute more broccoli or cauliflower for the asparagus. Next time I do it, I'll try adding a layer of sweet corn.

      Thank you for your comment!

      Kisses!

      Hello Victoria:

I don't know if everyone thinks like us but it seems to me that it is as necessary as that the table is well set or that dinner is just right. Everything has its value and dressing up a little for dinner is also important. So this year we are going to try not to have the apron on at Christmas Eve dinner !! ; )

      Kisses!!

Good afternoon .... the truth is that the recipe looks great but I have two doubts:
    - When you refer to sweet liquor, what kind of liquor is it?
-How is it to cut? Maybe it can be done individually and that each one manages as he can, right? Hahaha!!!!!

Thank you very much and here we will continue to follow you ... and if I do not write a comment before, Merry Christmas and may 2012 bring us something good each of your days so that in summary it will be a wonderful year!

      Hi Idoia,

as a sweet liquor you can use a port, a cognac or even a mistela or a P. Ximénez !!
and don't worry about cutting the cake! the cake, when resting, remains compact and the cut is tart-like. You just have to be careful to use a large knife and a shovel.

Take this opportunity to thank you for your congratulations and wish you, too, a Happy Holidays !!

      kisses!

      Hello Virtues,

of course you can substitute the broccoli. You can use cauliflower, white asparagus or even mushrooms!

If in the end you dare ... you will tell me!

      kisses!

Mayra, compi, I loved it ... maybe I will substitute the typical salad for this cake ...

Oh compi… if you knew how hard this cake has gotten me… I use it for "events" because it is very easy and can be done in advance, a real treat!
