Lentils with rice and chicken sausages is a very complete and, at the same time, very rich dish that you can use to eat any day during the week.

My daughters really like lentils and I usually vary this recipe with the one for lentils with chorizo. The first time I made them, I thought they were going to miss the chorizo ​​and, surprisingly, they didn't mention it. Although the truth, I think it has been a success to change it for the fresh chicken sausages because the meat is leaner.

This recipe even my husband likes and that lentils is the legume that he likes the least.

    In this one it is not very clear to me the end of the recipe, 40 minutes are programmed and after 40 minutes the rice is added and 13 more minutes are programmed? The other times that I have made lentils without previously soaking them, 40 minutes is enough, if you add more time they will fall apart.

      Marta, we always put the lentils to soak for about an hour and you have understood the recipe times well, they are 40 minutes and when we finish these we put another 13 so that the rice is made.       Hello Ana, they are not thick for me. I pour water up to the two-liter mark and they are rather soupy, which is how we like them. I usually add a small amount of rice (as it comes in the recipe) so that it does not thicken. I don't know why they will have come out thick.
