I do not know if you have ever done bread sticks, also called grissini. I propose a recipe that everyone likes a lot, especially children.

In the video you can see how to prepare the dough in Thermomix. I put a teaspoon of malt, an ingredient that I like to use in breads. What do you have no malt? In this case you can replace it with a teaspoon of miel.

Shaping them is also simple. Do not hesitate to tell the kids to help you out in this step, they will like to help you.

Ingredients

  • 3 g baking powder (not fresh)
  • 160 g of water
  • 1 teaspoon malt
  • 400 g of flour and a little more for the hob
  • 50 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 30 g of lard
  • Salt (between 5 and 10 grams)

Preparation

  1. We dissolve the yeast with two teaspoons of water (see the video).

  2. We put the water, yeast and malt in the glass. We program 3 minutes, 37º, speed 2.

  3. Add the flour, olive oil, butter and salt. We program 3 minutes, spike speed.

  4. We put the dough on the worktop and compact it with the hands. We put our ball of dough in a bowl, cover with film and let it rise for about 2 hours.

  5. After that time we put the dough on the counter. We are taking small portions and forming the sticks, as seen in the video.

  6. We are putting our bread sticks on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

  7. Bake at 190º (preheated oven) for approximately 25 minutes.
