The origin, as always, a simple and humble stew with ingredients from the land, but very very tasty and nutritious: white bean and squid stew.

Of course, in the past it was cooked on the fire, in the fireplace and left all morning. Later they prepared it on the gas fire, but it was also a slow cooking of many hours (about 3 or even 5 hours it would be). But today, we are always in a hurry and we have little time to cook so we have adapted this dish to the thermomix and we take the opportunity to save a little time and do other activities as a family, since we only see each other a few times a year ...

A stew of white beans and squid, perfect to enjoy at Easter with the family. Easy, fast and delicious.

Ingredients

150 g onion
100 g of red pepper
100 g of green pepper
2 cloves of garlic
50 g of extra virgin olive oil
500 g of fresh squid, clean and chopped
2 jars of white beans cooked and drained
500 g of water
salt to taste
a tablespoon of paprika
a few turns of pepper
2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
1 hoja de laurel

Preparation

We put the onion in quarters, the peppers, the garlic and the oil in a glass and chop 4 seconds at speed 5.
We cook for 8 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1.
Add the squid, paprika and pepper and 0 tablespoons of white beans (to thicken the sauce), water, bay leaf and salt. We program 20 minutes, 100º, left turn and spoon speed.
We add the rest of the beans, the fried tomato, and program 10 minutes, 100º, left turn and spoon speed.
