Zucchini and mushroom pie

zucchini-and-mushroom-piethermorecetas

The vegetable cakes and puddings they are always welcome at home. It is a different way of including the 5 servings in our diet. Besides being a perfect dinner since they are enriched with other ingredients. If you also like them at home, be sure to try this zucchini and mushroom cake.

All the quiches they fascinate us but I have to admit that they are very caloric, for that reason, for months, we have opted for this version that, without being light of everything, has many fewer calories because it neither takes cream nor we put the base on it.

This zucchini and mushroom cake is like a flan with a soft texture and a rich Parmesan flavor that can be enjoyed freshly or cold.

You can present it with a green leafy salad and it also admits soup or consommé first.

    good morning
If I do it with a puff pastry, are the baking times the same?
    Thank you

      Hello isbael:
What I would do would be to bake the puff pastry in white following the manufacturer's instructions. Then I would sprinkle flour on the base to absorb the moisture from the filling. I would put the filling and cook it the same time. I would check before taking out.
I hope you get it right.
      Regards!!

It has been fatal for me, it has not curdled in 25 minutes, I had to have it for three quarters of an hour, but it goes wrong. I don't like it, besides the potato is not distributed on all sides, and it remains raw. I do not recommend the recipe, very nice in the picture, but it does not fit reality

    Good afternoon
I forgot to buy the spread cheese, is it possible to use cream if not?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

Hello Isa: I think it will be just as good, although it may take longer to set.
Tell us how it turned out, okay?
      Regards!!

        Hola!
        Is the potato well done?

        1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

          Hello Nerea:
Yes, it is well done but remember that, after points 3 and 4, the potato has to be chopped, into small pieces. If you have large pieces, they will not cook well in the oven.

          Thanks for your question.

          Regards!

In the end I'm going to do it now and I'm going to buy the spread cheese, because I have guests and I don't want to risk it. ?
One question, the potatoes and zucchini are not sautéed ??

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

No, it does not skip. You have to drain them very well, even with a clean cloth or kitchen paper.

      You'll see how delicious !!

        Good.
I made the cake and it was very tasty! My people liked it a lot too!
(When I did step 4 I already realized that it was not necessary to skip it)

I have to substitute cheese for a non-dairy alternative. ..Could you advise me? Thanks

I've always done it this way but ... have you tried vegan cheeses? They are made without milk.

      Kisses!!
