Deluxe potatoes

Irresistible. So are these Deluxe potatoes that we can prepare at home without too many complications.

If you like the ones that they put (or put, that I haven't been going in a long time…) in restaurants like McDonalds or Vips, you have to try this recipe. To those of you who do not know them, I will tell you that they are more than french fries since, when they are battered, they are very crunchy and with a special touch.

These potatoes are a "deluxe" garnish to accompany any meat o fish. If you want to serve them with their specific sauce, here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 600 g of well-washed potatoes (we are going to cook them with skin), medium-sized
  • 50 g flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon of sweet paprika
  • 5 g garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (for dessert) oregano
  • 1 teaspoon (coffee) thyme
  • 1 teaspoon (of coffee) salt
  • Frying oil

Preparation

  1. We wash the potatoes very well, cut them into wedges and put them in a bowl with water. They will be there for about 10 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, we put 1 liters of water in the glass of our Thermomix. We program 10 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1.

  3. At the end of the time we drain the potatoes with the help of the basket and put them in our glass, in the boiling water. We program 5 minutes, varoma temperature, left turn, spoon speed.

  4. We take advantage of those 5 minutes to prepare what the batter will be: put the flour, paprika, garlic, spices and salt in a bowl, and stir.

  5. At the end of the time, we drain the potatoes, again with the help of the basket. We batter them in the mixture we have just made and fry them in plenty of not too strong oil.

  6. When they are golden, we remove them to a plate covered with kitchen paper so that the oil drains well, we plate and serve immediately.

Notes

You can use a deep fryer, at a temperature of 170º
