Fanta® cake

fanta cupcakes

Yes, you read correctly, "cake of Fanta®«. I located this recipe on the internet and, taking advantage of the little boy's nap, I got down to work. For the snack I had already prepared it although it almost did not arrive because I could not resist and I tried it fresh from the oven.

It is a cake that I recommend because it has a very good taste, nothing cloying and the texture is fluffy and juicy.

I have done it in individual molds, cupcake type, to vary a bit. But of course it can be done in large mold of sponge cake either round or elongated type plum cake.

On a coffee afternoon with some friends I put the cake for them and they liked it very much. When I told you that one of the ingredients was Orange Fanta®What a pity not to have taken a photo at that moment ... they made such faces on me !. They could not believe.

Try it and you will tell me!

Virtues I have a doubt: if instead of doing it in individual molds we do it in a large sponge cake, the time is still 15 minutes or should we have it longer?
    Congratulations on your recipes!

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Cris, I wanted to leave it for about five more minutes, but as I always say, the cooking times in the ovens are approximate, since it depends on the oven we have, I always opened to watch it a little, and do the test with a needle point (I use a stainless steel skewer stick that I have) and if it comes out clean, that's it.

and could you put orange kas instead of orange fanta?

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Paula, the truth is that I would not know what to tell you, I know that the kas has more gas, it would be a matter of trying it.

I find it funny !! hahaha shocking but there is ke to try it, in the thermomix 21 we do it the same ?? answer xf

    1.    virtues said

Hi Beatriz, as I have said on other occasions, I am not very good at converting to the tm21, since I have been using the tmx for a relatively short time. As the 31 takes time to heat up, reduce the cooking times by one minute.
You tell me how it turned out.

Hi, I plan to try it because we have a sweet tooth at home. I always remove sugar from these things, but if we put Coca-Cola '? what will happen?

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Mamen, the truth is that I do not know how it will work out with Coca-Cola, it would be a matter of trying it and if it does not work, then not doing it anymore. If you try it with Coca-Cola, tell us how about ...

WITH COCA-COLA, I DO NOT KNOW IT WELL, BUT THE CAKE IS SPONG, TENDER AND DELICIOUS. I MADE IT INDIVIDUAL FOR THE LITTLE AND THEY LOVE IT

        1.    Virtues said

Hi Mamen, I'm glad, we already know another version, hahaha. With the fanta it does not know much either, but it does have a point, in addition to how fluffy it comes out. A little question, being cocacola, did it come out darker, is it cake?

          1.    MAMEN- said

hello virtues: it did not come out dark but I have done it again with fantasy and great the kids eat it great

Hello Virtues, today I saw this recipe and since it had the ingredients I decided to make it. Tell you that it was great. So much so that it almost does not reach tomorrow. I recommend it. Greetings.

    1.    Virtues said

Hi Joaqui, I'm really happy. It is that when a recipe contains some unusual ingredient it shocks us, but in this case the result is surprising ... I am very happy that you liked it.

Hello Virtues. I made the cake and it came out spectacular. The only thing is that instead of putting Fanta (which we don't like at home) I put non-carbonated soda with Mercadona orange juice, and it was fluffy and very soft. I used a silicone mold for a large sponge cake and took it to a family reunion and what happened to you, when I told them the ingredients they were amazed ... but they didn't even leave the crumbs hehe heh ... thanks and as I always say: keep sending these great easy-to-make recipes with simple ingredients. a big kiss

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Sandra, I write down the change, at home sometimes I also spend that kind of soda. I'm glad you liked it very much. and thanks for your encouragement. A pretty kiss.

Hello Virtues! How good it looks! A question, do you leave the butterfly on all the time?

    Thank you so much!!

  15.   Iron said

Hello girls I will do it throughout the day but… .. I can't find the butterfly, is it necessary? Thanks

    1.    Virtues said

hello fer, we use the butterfly as to knead and give body to the dough, I don't know how it will come out without it ...

  16.   Rosalia Gomez said

Virtues, I have seen your recipe and I find it interesting, but I am sorry to tell you that Germans have a habit of preparing that fanta cake for a long time on children's birthdays. Change the design, yes, you just have to brush a few strokes of a mixture of water and sugar (it has to be heated so that it mixes well), I don't remember the dose, just enough to create a layer on the cake and put on it. all covered in colorful lacasitos and cut into small portions for the children. I tell you that you succeed "as they happen" with the little ones. I forget to tell you that they do it not very high because that way the children eat it better, it looks beautiful, I am sorry I do not have photos to send you.

    1.    Virtues said

Hello Rosalía, I love the way you tell us about the presentation of this cake. of which as I do not take note. And yes I imagine how in many recipes that we are taking in general Spanish cuisine, because it comes imported ...
