Italian-style tomato sauce

italian-style-tomato-saucethermorecetas

How many recipes of ketchup will there be in the world? I believe that in each house it is done in a different way but all of them are equally good and rich.

For today I have prepared an Italian style tomato sauce. It is made, as always, with tomatoes, oil, onion, garlic and spices. But what I like the most about the recipe is that they add the olive oil in the end. Giving the sauce a different texture.

To make this recipe you can use pear tomatoes or canned tomatoes. In any case they have to be well drained since the sauce, in itself, is quite loose and if we add more liquids it will be like a soup.

This Italian-style tomato sauce can be used in endless recipes, especially in those that need a lot of quantity, such as aubergines parmigiana, pasta or meatballs.

The recipe is fine, so the oil remains raw. The only thing is that later I don't like to find the skins of the tomatoes, I would make them skinless.
    Thank you

      Hello Chaguaza:

To get a good tomato sauce you have to use, as the recipe says, peeled and well drained tomatoes ... try it, you'll see what a difference!

      Greetings.

    Good afternoon:

First congratulations, I really like this page and I have made several of your recipes with quite good results.
Now I wanted to ask you, if I use a can of crushed tomato, does the recipe change something and with these quantities how much does it come out more or less ???

Thank you very much and congratulations for the page

      Hello Maria:

First of all tell you that I have never used canned crushed tomato in this recipe but I consider that it has more liquid than whole tomatoes. I think you will need a few more minutes to cook but for the rest everything is the same.

Regarding the final amount, I don't remember very well because I published this recipe 2 years ago but from the indications that I have written down, I think they came out about half a kilo of sauce.

You will tell us how your sauce has been, okay?

Ahh… and thanks for your comment. It is always good to know that our recipes help you in your day to day.

      Regards!!
