Russian salad with apple mayonnaise

With these hot days the truth is that we only want cool things. And, I especially crave salads a lot now. So since Thermorecetas We have been working on a new version of Russian salad, this time, with a different mayonnaise: Russian salad with apple mayonnaise. 

El touch that gives the apple This mayonnaise is subtle but very very nice and fresh. Enough to know that you are facing something different. In addition, we have taken the opportunity to add more peas and green beans, in order to continue enhancing the green color and flavor of the vegetables. A delight!

We recommend using apple varieties pippin o granny smith, pink lady or fuji would also work. In short, we want a fresh apple with a lot of flavor.

Ingredients

Salad

  • 600 g of water (for steam)
  • 3 eggs
  • 600 g of potatoes cut into small cubes
  • 150g carrot, diced
  • 100 g frozen peas
  • 100 g frozen round beans
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon salt
  • 200 g of tuna in oil

Mayonnaise

  • 300 g mayonnaise
  • Manzana 1
  • a bit of skin from a lime
  • salt to taste
  • a splash of apple cider vinegar to taste

Preparation

  1. Russian salad

    We put the water in the glass and place the basket with the eggs.

  2. We place the Varoma in its position and put the potatoes, carrots, peas and green beans inside. We cover and program 26 minutes, varoma temperature, vel. 1. 

  3. We remove the Varoma. Put the vegetables in a large salad bowl. Season with salt to taste and let cool.

  4. Drain the cans of tuna and put it shredded. We also add the chopped eggs in the salad bowl along with the vegetables.

  5. Mix with a little of the apple mayonnaise and stir well. Store in the fridge tightly covered.

    When we serve the salad, we place it on the plate and sprinkle more mayonnaise on top to taste.

    Put the apple in the glass and chop 5 seconds, speed 7. We lower the remains and reprogram 5 seconds, speed 7.

  7. Add the mayonnaise, the skin of the lime, the apple cider vinegar and mix 15 seconds, speed 3. We rectify salt.
