Imperial delicacy

Thermomix Manjar Imperial Desserts Recipe

This imperial delicacy, as the name suggests, it's great. It is very similar to rice pudding for its simplicity, although its texture and the touch of sweet anise make it special.

This recipe is from the official Thermomix® magazine and when I saw it, I couldn't resist trying to make it. They come out about 6 servings perfect for any family meal. Although I have preferred to share them with my friend Elena and my neighbor Pilar.

I recommend that you leave it to rest for a few hours in the refrigerator to drink it cool and accompanied by waffles, roof tiles o cat tongues and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon to flavor.

It is a dessert that uses egg yolks, so to take advantage of the clear I suggest you freeze them or use them to make sorbets or make a delicious egg white cake, which at home we love for its fluffiness.

Teresa, the truth is that the dessert is great, but taking advantage of the clear is phenomenal, because at first I did not know what to do with them and now everything is settled between sorbets and buns.
      All the best

This recipe has a pint that you don't see, I'm going to make it this weekend. The anise that is in liquid or in grain is that I have never bought it? where do I buy it? is there in mercadona? Thanks and I really like your blog, I'm hooked every day I look at it to see if there are new recipes.

Toñi, sweet anise is liquid and you have it in all supermarkets. It is a very rich dessert that looks a bit like rice pudding. I hope you like it.
      All the best

Hello girls I made the delicacy but I don't know if it will be normal, little pieces of eggs came out curdled in the dessert and it came out very yellow that is normal

Maria we also loved this dessert. It has a great texture and is not the traditional rice pudding as I thought.
      All the best

What I crave from "Manjar Imperial" are the cookies that they have inside to decorate, I know them as cat languages, do you have a recipe that is the same or similar? is that my daughter likes them very much and it is not easy to find them. These cookies were brought by my grandmother Catalina from Portugal and they came in little baskets since I never knew if she filled them herself or bought them like that, but the truth is that they loved them and if now she could make them ……………. I have to say that my grandmother was an excellent cook and pastry chef, she was a tailor, but when there were weddings, baptisms and an event in town, she was ordered to cook lamb stews and sweets, well, if you could locate the recipe, I would appreciate it. thank you so much . A GREETING

Immaculate I am with you, these cookies also drive me crazy. I buy them with the name of cat tongues as you say. The truth is that I think I have such a recipe, I will look through my culinary books and if I find it, count on me to make it and publish it for everyone.
      A kiss

I really want to make this dessert but I had a question about the anise in it. Can the children have that dessert? I have an 8-year-old and I have not decided to make it because of the alcohol. A greeting. .

    1.    Silvia said

Nuria, if you are going to do it for children, reduce the alcohol a little, I would do it.

Very good dessert, but something liquid came out, is that right?

    1.    Irene Arcas said

Hello Antonia, yes this dessert is creamy, like a light custard. Anyway, if it is too liquid for your taste, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to the mixture along with the milk. Thanks for writing to us! All the best.
