Cheese dumplings

Have you ever been obsessed with a recipe? I do, precisely with the dough for dumplings.

I have tried several recipes and none have come out. Even the one in the Essential book has resisted me. So I can tell you that this one does work and it has everything; It is easy, economic and it is crispy.

The best thing about dumplings is that they can be filled with whatever you want. To release the dough, I used a cheese filling. But I'm already looking forward to making them with ratatouille or tuna or spinach.

It is clear that this is one of the recipes that you have to have on hand because with a salad or light cream, like that of leeks and apple Irene's, can become a healthy Dinner.

I just hope you like the recipe as much as I do!

Hello Mayra, the empanadillas I am looking forward to making them look good they have what I don't know what arzua cheese is with which one can it be substituted?

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi carmen,

As I mentioned to M Joase, you can change it for the cheese that you like the most. You just have to keep in mind that it has to be a cheese with a bit of body, like an emmental or a semi-cured.

      Kisses!

What other cheese could be put on it because I don't know the Arzua, thanks

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hi M Joase,

You can put the cheese you want, for example, a semi-cured manchego would also be very useful.

      Kisses!!

that is good but for celiacs the amount of flour is the same because the celiac flour is very different

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Izaskun,

I'm sorry to tell you that I'm not familiar with gluten-free flour. With the intolerance to nuts, fish and shellfish, I have enough!

I hope someone helps us with your question and I take the celiac flour as an objective to investigate.

      Kisses!

Mayra, if the dough is unleavened, why are you leaving it to rest? At home we do not like baked, fried yes. I'll taste your dough, to see how it looks.

    1.    Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

      Hello Pilar,

I keep it in the fridge mainly so that the dough cools down and is much easier to work with.

      Kisses!

    Hello Caroline,

make sure that when stretching the dough there are no cracks. This way we will avoid that with the heat they become cracks.

Before leaving the dough in the fridge it is also convenient that the ball is compact.

    You will tell me!!

    Kisses!

no, these dumplings do not have yeast.
What are you going to fill them with?

      Kisses!
