Raspberry and chia jam

If you want a healthy and healthy alternative for your toasts you have to try this raspberry and chia jam.

It is a preparation with all the flavor and with very few calories. What's more it is suitable for diabetics Because it is made with birch sugar that has a glycemic index of 7 while that of white sugar is 70.

Chia seeds play a very important role in this jam because in addition to providing vitamins, minerals and fatty acids it has a great gelling power. So we get a perfect texture to spread on toasts, buns or waffles.

This raspberry and chia jam keeps without any problem up to 15 days in the fridge. But, on the contrary, we must be very careful if we are going to make it for packaging, it already contains a lot of sugar and it is not enough to keep it for months.

Can raspberries be fresh instead of frozen? In that case, would they be the same amount? Two other questions: In just 10 minutes, is it done? It seems like such a short time (especially if they are frozen). Is it not shredded?
Thank you so much for these great recipes.

      Hello Sea:
The first thing you have to know is that it is not a typical jam, like the ones our grandmothers made.
It can be made with fresh raspberries but they are more expensive than frozen ones. If you get them at a good price ... go ahead with the recipe!
In 10 minutes the raspberries will have melted and will have the perfect texture.
It is not crushed to appreciate the raspberry and chia seeds, but you could. The Thermomix holds it all!
      Kisses!!

Can it be done with another fruit? For example strawberries or blueberries? Thanks

      Hi Yolanda:
I imagine yes although I have never tried. Keep in mind that both strawberries and blueberries are tougher than raspberries. So I would increase the cooking time until they are soft.

      Kisses!!

Hello! I have never bought birch sugar, could it be made with panela sugar or agave syrup?

    I love your recipe.
    A greeting.
