Hello Connie, it is a liquid concentrate with a fish flavor that is made from anchovies (77% of the total). Even if you do not find this, you can look for a concentrate that provides a fishy flavor. I buy it at Asian food specialty meals. Nowadays, practically in any autonomous community in Spain there are specialized shops for small / Asian food, so you are sure to find it. If for whatever reason you can't find it, look at the large stores, because they surely sell some kind of seafood stock concentrate or anchovy paste or something similar.
