Today it's time to prepare the cake. It is made of chocolate, very easy and not too big. It is the one I was telling you the other day, the one with the chocolate coating.

If you do it thinking of the little ones, I suggest that, before putting the coverage (you have the recipe here) bathe him with a syrup simple, made with water and sugar. If, on the other hand, you want it for adults, do not hesitate to flavor this syrup with a splash of cognac or kirsch. And if you want to innovate even more, I leave you this other proposal: an orange syrup.

You will see, it is a small cake, ideal to indulge yourself in the middle of the week.

A treat for children and adults: chocolate cake dipped in syrup and covered, also with chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 10 g of sunflower oil
  • 20 g of cream
  • 50 g of bitter cocoa powder
  • 50 g of chocolate for desserts
  • 50 g flour
  • 20 g of cornstarch (can be substituted for potato starch)
  • 1/2 envelope of baking yeast (8g)

Preparation

  1. We fit the mariposa on the blades. We separate the whites from the yolks by introducing the whites into the glass and reserving the yolks. We mount the whites during 3 minute at speed 4. We take them out and reserve them.

  2. We remove the butterfly of the blades. We put the chocolate in the glass and grate it with several turbo strokes (Nothing happens if it is not very grated, so we will find a little piece of chocolate in the cake). Add the yolks, sugar, oil, cream, and cocoa powder. We program 2 minutes, speed 3.

  3. Now we add the flour, the cornstarch and the yeast. We program 10 seconds, speed 4.

  4. We mix the dough that we have just made with the whites mounted to the point of snow, carefully, with enveloping movements.

  5. We put our mixture in a not very large mold, of 18 cm, which we will have previously greased.

  6. Bake at 180º for 40 minutes.

  7. At that time we can prepare the syrup following this recipe:orange syrup. You can substitute it for your favorite syrup.

  9. Once the cake is out of the oven we soak it with the syrup (also cold). Then we cover it with the chocolate sauce.

  10. We keep in the refrigerator until serving time.

Notes

You can prepare only the cake, or the cake without coverage (only with syrup), or the cake only with coverage and without syrup.

    Good afternoon: a little doubt after reading the recipe. I see that one of the ingredients is cornstarch, it is mandatory to put it, and one last question, if it is not put, something happens?

      You can put normal flour. If you put cornstarch it serves for celiacs
