How did we miss publishing this recipe for compote of pears and dried apricots? It is one of the richer I've tried.
At home we really like to prepare compote with different fruits but since it was published in the Thermomix Magazine it has become a classic. I have prepared it so many times that over time I have modified it to our likings. In fact, the original recipe calls for hazelnuts that I substitute for mint to give it a more refreshing touch.
Another change I have made in this compote of pears and dried apricots is in the sweetener. If you notice it does not contain sugar which I have substituted for agave syrup. It is not a major change, in fact the texture is still just as good but diabetics will surely be delighted.

Hi! Is it necessary to put the liquor? Can it be eliminated or substituted for any non-alcoholic ingredient? Thanks
Sure!! You can prepare the compote your way. If you do not like liquor, it is not mandatory to put it, you can also change it for orange juice
Thank you!!
What a good looking! Could agave syrup be substituted for another sweetener, for example honey?
In principle yes, but if you are diabetic you have to bear in mind that the glycemic index of honey is much higher than that of agave syrup, so be careful.
For the rest, neither its texture nor its flavor have to vary too much. If you opt for honey, use one that is authentic (I do not recommend commercial honey) and if it may be that it is orange blossom honey that will give it more orange nuances.
Regards!!
